My dorm or college as they call it is named Goerge Roberts Hall and it's freakin sweet!!! It has AC or "air con" in all three bedrooms and in he common room. We are allowed to party as much as we want in the our suite but of course we won't be...well maybe. My roomies are two returner girls named Amanda and Renee. Renee is a sophmore like me and sh studying medicine; she is really nice and says she studies a lot. Amanda is from about an hour north of here and her freshman brother lives next door literally. I live on the third floor of F Block and my RA lives right next door...what a coincidence?! He is mad chill and his name is Stephan or "Snap" as people here call him. Our college colors are black and yellow and the dining hall is right downstairs. We have to pay to do laundry but you can air dry your clothes if you wish so you can save money and better for the environment. For the next week all the "freshers" aka freshman or new college members must wear headbands (yellow if 18+ or black if under 18) so that the returners can learn all of our names. If we are caught not wearing them they will write our names in Sharpie on our foreheads... so let's just say mine will be on at all times. There are a lot of activities planned for us over the next week so it should be fun. We are going to an aquarium and to a sanctuary for less than $60 American which is mad cheap!!! What a sweet room! I know you wish you had more "stuff" to put in your room. Just don't go crazy and buy tons of things! Do you think you brought enough clothes? Have fun at the aquarium or wherever you are going. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteYa i think I do I have to d laundry today prob two loads and im doing some of morgan's stuff too so that's ok. and everything at this school costs money it's ridiculous...the une students were talking and we decided une has it's shiznit together...we would all rather pay more tuition instead of running around trying to get everything organized it's nuts! oh well everything else here is ok and their fruit is amazing!!! alright ttyl peace out.

There is a video of me feeding it on the blog or if you go on Facebook we've been putting photos on there too to show friends and it's easier to upload them. We select the best ones for the blog but if you'd like to see more they are on facebook under my photos or morgan's photos. Classes don't start until the 23rd so this week is orientation and fun stuff like that a lot of info and other things. Valentines day was awesome!!! We'll put up a story and photos soon!!!
ReplyDeletehey you two notied someone mentioned studying, ha ha good luck with that. sounds like theres about 20 billion things to do down there in aussi land. now if you had gone to west africa that might be a different story but for some reason I dont think they have study abroad third world style. that and if i had the choice to go to a hot place without air conditioning or hot place with air conditioning... you guys made the right choice. not going to lie ive never had more time to read in my entire life. ha ha. keep those head bands on! keep it green down under, and continue to air dry your clothes like the good environmentalists you are.
